Daniel Craig in new Fernando Meielles movie
Determined not to get typecast as a shirtless secret agent, “Casino Royale” star Daniel Craig is set to star in the Fernando Meirelles-helmed drama “Blindness” for Focus Features International, says The Hollywood Reporter.
Craig and Julianne Moore are in talks to play the leads in the pic, which chronicles an epidemic of blindness that sweeps through an unnamed contemporary city and pushes society to the brink of breakdown.
Craig’s doing a good job, so far, of making sure he doesn’t swim in the same waters for every film he does. For instance, he’s next in the family fantasy “The Golden Compass” and the sci-fi blockbuster called “Invasion”.
