For the past few months there has been conflicting reports that Sean Connery actually did a cameo for the latest 007 film, "Die Another Day". Today IMDB reports that he was indeed in there – but got cut. Connery apparently cameos as Bond’s father,but the film’s bosses Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson were advised that in the Ian Fleming novels which the successful franchise is based upon, Bond is an orphan. The producers are still considering whether to leave the footage in or not.
