Bernie Mac has signed for the comedy "Mr.3000", says The Hollywood Reporter. The film is a comedy about a retired baseball player for the Detroit Tigers who returns to the game when three of his past base hits are disallowed, dropping him below the 3,000-hit plateau. Eric Champnella and Keith Mitchell wrote the original script and the project is currently out to directors.
