Silver explains why "Gothika" snubbed Australia

Producer Joel Silver told The Daily Telegraph that he had planned to shoot "Gothika" starring Halle Berry and Penelope Cruz in Sydney, Australia but ultimately went with Montreal Montreal because its French director, Matthieu Kassovitz, preferred a French-Canadian location. "I know, we were all set for Sydney but the director wanted somewhere he could speak French and all that," Silver said. "But don’t worry, I’m bringing two TV series ("Future Tense" is one) down there soon, so you’re not going to miss out."
