According to a report on Aint it Cool, "The Goonies 2" mightn’t be as much a sure-thing as what we’d hoped. Sean Astin talked at a Texas convention and revealed that he had been approached by Steven Spielberg – at last year’s Golden Globes – about it, but said Director Richard Donner didn’t seem very interested in doing it last time they spoke.
