David Fincher has left "Mission : Impossible 3" and Joe Carnahan ("Narc") has replaced him as director. Fincher had been attached to "M:I-3" since early last year but recently committed to direct The Lords of Dogtown, centering on the surf and skate culture that took root in the 1970s, for Sony. Variety reports Dean Georgaris, who penned "Tomb Raider 2", is a contender to write the film.
