Just when I was starting to think Hollywood was coming up with some original ideas this week that didn’t eventuate from a comic book, comes word that another comic series has been snapped up for the film treatment. 20th Century Fox has optioned feature rights to the fantasy comic book series "Battle Chasers", with Gil Netter (Phone Booth) attached to produce, reports Variety. Stuart Hazeldine ("Riverworld") is negotiating to adapt the screenplay. Created by Joe Madureira and published by DC Comics, Battle Chasers is set on a deadly alien world where humans battle for wealth and four very different superpowered warriors are forced to form an alliance to save their land from a corrupt king. Hey, I have an idea…get "Superman" going first DC!
