Queen Latifah’s star seems to be getting fatter and fatter. The "Bringing Down the House" star has now inked a deal to star in "Beauty Shop", an MGM flick that’ll be spun off from the popular Ice Cube comedy "Barbershop". According to Variety, The studio would launch the new franchise with a Latifah cameo in Barbershop 2 expected next winter, with her shop located next door to Ice Cube’s convivial but financially challenged inner-city Chicago tonsorial parlor. That would set up her starring role in the spinoff, which would be developed at the same time. The trade also reports that Latifah is set to star in the comedy "Just Wright", and possibly a remake of Luc Beeson produced "Taxi".
