Among today’s assortments, a new female lead for "Agent Cody Banks 2", A look at the "Plastic Man" script, An Ewok joins the Ray Charles Biopic, and early news on where "Charlies Angels 3" might be made.

  • Warwick Davis [“Leprechaun”] has joined the cast of the Ray Charles Biopic “Unchain my Heart”.

  • The Official Site for “Alex and Emma” has details on a new short story contest

  • The Z Review have much better pics from the “Troy” set than the ones currently doing the rounds on the web. They’re about 20 times the size. Check them out here

  • Keri Russell, Nathan Lane, Simon Callow, Joss Ackland, Darren Boyd, Emilia Fox, Greg Wise and Brian Blessed will all star in “Cabbages and Queens”, a new Jewel heist comedy, which begins shooting at the end of the month says Screen Daily

  • Dark Horizons reports that Comedy writer Patton Aswalt confirmed on DC radio today that this Special Olympics themed comedy is the Farrelly Bros. next film

  • Aint it Cool has posted the link to the new Hong Kong vampire action flick “The Twin Effect” starring Donnie Yen here

  • The Z Review reports that S Club 7’s Hannah Spearitt has been signed up for the lead female role in “Agent Cody Banks 2”. She’s reportedly started filming her scenes already.

  • IGN Filmforce are reporting that "Resident Evil : Nemesis" has been renamed "Resident Evil : Apocalypse" and that one of the central characters will be Jill Valentine.

  • According to The Herald Sun, Drew Barrymore might consider making “Charlies Angels 3” in Australia, should it happen. “We could be sliding down the tops of the Opera House," said Cameron Diaz, cheered on by Lucy Liu. "Or bungy jumping off the (Harbour) Bridge," Drew Barrymore added.

  • LionsGate films have picked up “Beyond Re-Animator”, which they’ll test run before a probable early DVD Release, reports Bloody Disgusting.

  • Superhero Hype reports that a new Young “Batman” animated series is on the way. Sorta consolation for the never-eventuating “Batman: Year One”.

  • Former "NYPD Blue" star Rick Schroder is making his directorial debut on the indie "Black Cloud," a feature film he wrote that stars country singing sensation Tim McGraw in his big-screen acting debut.

  • Jack Black is to star as ‘the world’s greatest video game player’ in “Rad Brad, Modern Warrior”, based on a script from "Dude, Where’s My Car?" scribe Philip Stark. Stark also worked on a script called “Seriously, Dude Where’s My Car?” recently.

  • Frances Fisher and Nora Dunn have joined the cast of "The Laws of Attraction”, says The Hollywood Reporter.

  • StarshipTroopers2.net talks to Music-Man John Morgan about his work on the Sci-Fi sequel.
