One of the big surprises of last year, “The Bourne Identity” is to frogspawn a sequel. Perceptibly based on Robert Ludlum’s book “The Bourne Supremacy”, the film centres on a Chinese vice premier supposedly slain by Bourne [Matt Damon]. According to the Hollywood Reporter, British helmer Paul Greengrass [“Bloody Sunday”] is in talks to direct. Frank Marshall, Paul Sandburg and Patrick Crowley are producing the film. Universal executives Ally Brecker-Shearmur and Matt Jackson are overseeing the project. Production begins later this year.
