The big day has arrived. Filming on the third and final instalment of the "Star Wars" trilogy has kicked off in Sydney. Today, news on a just announced cast member, as well as all the regular going ons.

  • Command Entertainment reports that Pierce Brosnan, Dame Judi Dench and Richard Kiel [Jaws] will lend their voices to the upcoming “James Bond 007 : Everything or Nothing” game. In the role of Bond’s new nemesis "Nikolai Diavolo’ is Willem "Green Goblin" Dafoe, Shannon "American Pie’ Elizabeth plays ‘cyber-girl ‘Serena St. Germaine’ and super-model Heidi Klum is the malevolent ‘Katya Nadanova’

  • Variety reports that Colin Farrell and Eva Mendes have joined the Robert Towne immigrant drama “Ask the Dust”

  • Dark Horizons reports that Artisan is rumoured to be looking into remaking the 1986 horror flick “Chopping Mall”. Why?

  • Cameron Diaz has won the lead female slot opposite Jim Carrey in “Fun with Dick and Jane”. Diaz previously appeared with Carrey in 1994’s “The Mask”.

  • John August [“Charlies Angels”] will write a new big-budget film version of “Tarzan”, reports Reuters

  • Liev Schrieber has signed on to star opposite Denzel Washington in “The Manchurian Candidate”, reports Variety.

  • Bloody Disgusting has posted the new official one-sheeter of “Freddy vs. Jason” here

  • Screen Daily reports that “Brothers Grimm” is about to get going but without Robin Williams and Nicole Kidman. Deals couldn’t be made for the two.
