  • Matthew Lillard and Seth Green, currently filming “Scooby Doo 2” together, will re-unite on “Without a Paddle”. The movie is about three lifelong friends who find themselves on a canoe trip in search of a $200,000 treasure. They are unaware of the obstacles in front of them, including a dangerous river and whacked-out mountain men. Punk’d star Dax Shepard plays the third friend.

  • Willem Dafoe and Matt Dillon will star in “Control” for director Tim Hunter, says Variety. It’s the story of a sociopath (Dillon) taken into an experimental medical program. The doctor in charge (Dafoe) must take drastic measures when his patient’s violent past comes back to haunt them both.

  • Michael Wincott [“The Crow”] has been added to the cast of the indie drama “The Assassination of Richard Nixon”, which stars Sean Penn, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

  • According to Variety, Sony will simultaneously develop TV and feature projects based on the comic strip “The Boondocks”, which revolves around two inner-city kids, Huey (a revolutionary in the spirit of his namesake, Huey P. Newton) and Riley (a wannabe gangsta), who move to the suburbs with their slightly-out-of-touch grandfather.

  • McG, according to Variety, is once again the frontrunner to direct the belated “Superman : Last Son of Krypton”.
