Will it be a 'Patch' on the first though?

It’s only been out a few days and already Disney have given the go-ahead to a “Pirates of the Caribbean” sequel [I suppose a “Hulk” sequel was greenlit before that video-game, ahem movie, was even released]. The Disney flick – an ingenious [cough] idea based on the Theme Park Ride – has made a couple of penny already. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney had made sequel arrangements with such key cast members as Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley, as well as with the behind-the-scenes duo of producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Gore Verbinski. "Pirates" writers Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio have been contacted about penning the story for the sequel, but as yet they haven’t re-inked their markers.
