Word had it that if the recently released “Tron” video-game did well, then the proposed sequel to the much-loved 80’s film would probably happen. In the sequel, Flynn [Jeff Bridges] would be fully lost in the cyber world and someone would be sent to pluck him out. Moviehole caught up with one of the visual team behind the first film this morning to see how the sequel plans are going, and were confronted with some pretty disappointing news. “My sources indicate that the film side of the studio is scared to go ahead with Tron 2.0, and that they have been embarrassed by the games division success with the Tron 2.0 game. I won’t count on seeing Tron 2.0 anytime soon.” In addition, we’re told that Jeff Bridges isn’t very interested in doing the film – he’s simply only interesting in having a read of the script. Tissue fans?
