  • The Times Online, via Dark Horizons, reports that Cate Blanchett looks set to reteam with her "Elizabeth" Director Shekar Kapur on this biopic of Aussie circus artist turned Bollywood legend Mary Evans.

  • Hollywood artist Crash McCreery [“Dreamcatcher”] will work on “The Abominable Snowman” for Emmett/Furla Films, a wholly owned subsidiary of Family Room Entertainment Corporation, says Coming Soon.

  • The Age reports that Melbourne’s new film studios – rumoured to be up and running next year – might be the home of the “Red Dwarf” movie.

  • Woody Harrelson has joined the cast of Pierce Brosnan’s next “After the Sunset”.

  • K.D Aubert [“Hollywood Homicide”] has joined the cast of the all-star spoof film “Soul plane”.

  • Josie Maran [“Van Helsing”] has joined the cast of Revolution Studios’ “Little Black Book” for director Nick Hurran. She will play Lulu, a comically self-absorbed French model who once dated Derek (Ron Livingston), the current beau of a talk show producer (Brittany Murphy).

  • Steven Shainberg [“Secretary”] has signed to helm a big-screen biopic centering on photographer Diane Arbus, says The Hollywood Reporter. Arbus is considered one of the greatest American photographers of the 20th century, known for creating images that were often bizarre or disturbing.

  • Ten Network Holdings Ltd today locked in a fourth series of the hit reality television series “Big Brother”, says Australia’s Herald Sun. Channel 7 was reportedly interested in nabbing the series from Ten.

  • According to Ananova, Eddie Izzard will play a 8,000-year-old sand fairy in an adaptation of E Nesbitt’s magical story “Five Children And It.” Also starring in the film are Kenneth Branagh, Zoe Wanamaker and Tara Fitzgerald.

  • Micheal Keaton is now staring in the thriller, “White Noise”, as "A man who is contacted from beyond the grave by his murdered wife". Thanks to Hollywood North Report

  • Rosario Dawson will star as Roxanne in Oliver Stone’s “Alexander the Great”. The two have already met, with negotiations expected to begin shortly.

  • Dennis Quaid is in final negotiations to topline the actioner redo of "The Flight of the Phoenix" for helmer John Moore, starting in October.

  • The WB is close to giving a midseason order to the Spelling Television drama series “Summerland” to star Lori Loughlin of "Full House" fame. It replaces the proposed “Gilmore Girls” spin-off.
