Seems to be the week for Directors exiting colossal projects, doesn’t it? Hot on the heels of Peyton Reed’ egress from “The Fantastic Four”, comes news that Barry Sonnenfeld has left “Life with Dick and Jane”, set to star Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz. It’s caused a bit of havoc for the production too, with filming initially due to start in just less than six weeks. Now, because of the exit, the film’s been put on the backburner till next March, after Carrey’s completed “Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events” for Paramount and DreamWorks. In “Life”, Carrey and Diaz play a middle-class couple who turn to robbery to pay their bills.
