  • Glenn Howerton (That ’80s Show) has joined the cast of TV’s “E.R”. He’ll play a medical intern.

  • Producer David Heyman has teamed with producers Corey May and Michael "Dooma" Wendschuh to option screen rights to the Carolyn Parkhurst bestseller “The Dogs of Babel”, about a linguistics professor’s attempt to deal with the tragic death of his wife, who suffered a fatal fall from a backyard tree. The only witness is the family’s Rhodesian ridgeback, and the widower attempts to discover what happened by getting the dog to communicate.

  • Nicole Kidman has been offered the lead role in “The Interpreter”, playing a U.N. interpreter who overhears an assassination plot.

  • Adrien Brody is in talks to replace Mark Wahlberg on “The Jacket”, about a soldier who has been convicted of a murder and believes he’s traveling through time.
