  • Glenn Howerton (That ’80s Show) has joined the cast of TV’s “E.R”. He’ll play a medical intern.

  • Producer David Heyman has teamed with producers Corey May and Michael "Dooma" Wendschuh to option screen rights to the Carolyn Parkhurst bestseller “The Dogs of Babel”, about a linguistics professor’s attempt to deal with the tragic death of his wife, who suffered a fatal fall from a backyard tree. The only witness is the family’s Rhodesian ridgeback, and the widower attempts to discover what happened by getting the dog to communicate.

  • Nicole Kidman has been offered the lead role in “The Interpreter”, playing a U.N. interpreter who overhears an assassination plot.

  • Adrien Brody is in talks to replace Mark Wahlberg on “The Jacket”, about a soldier who has been convicted of a murder and believes he’s traveling through time.

  • The trailer for “Cold Creek Manor”, from Director Mike Figgis, and star Sharon Stone, is now online here

  • Rick McCallum told The Daily Telegraph that “Star Wars Episode III” will probably clock in at two hours and 10 minutes.

  • NBC will develop a half-hour series project for Heather Locklear targeted for fall 2004, says The Hollywood Reporter.

  • Shia LaBeouf [“Project Greenlight”] has scored a deal with NewLine Cinema to what may become a multipicture deal and 20th Century Fox has cast him opposite Will Smith in "I, Robot."

  • Christopher Walken, Michael Caine and Josh Lucas will star as three generations of men who head out on the road in search of an old family secret in “Around the Bend”, for Director Jordan Roberts.
