Rumours have been floating about the last couple of days that “Halloween 4” scribe Alan McElroy had been asked back by the studio to pen the approaching “Halloween 9”. Not true, McElroy told Creature Corner. “There is no truth to my involvement in Halloween 9. I was contacted by the producers and asked if I had any interest in working on 9 but I had to politely refuse. I want to thank Moustapha and Paul Freeman for thinking about me. They are always extremely complimentary of Halloween 4 and I must say that working on that film was one of the highlights of my career. I wrote the script in eleven days and except for budget constraints and editing they pretty much shot it word for word. That just doesn’t happen in Hollywood.” Although a ninth "Halloween" has been announced, it’s still very early days.
