News today on that much mooted “Doom” movie, Gadget’s third bout, confirmation on something to do with “Batman” [My ticker nearly stopped when it crossed the wire] and first looks at Halle and Tom’s latests.

  • John Wells and Lorenzo DiBoniventura are rumoured to be attached to the game adaptation of “Doom”, reports Dark Horizons

  • An “Inspector Gadget 3” is being rumoured – with French Stewart reprising his role as the character for the second consecutive time.

  • Aint it Cool News can confirm that “Batman : Intimidation” is indeed the working title for the new Bat flick being prepped at Shepperton Studios. Whilst, adds that & .com are indeed registered to Warner Bros.

  • BET has a look at the poster for the upcoming Halle Berry flick “Gothika” here, whilst a high-quality “Polar Express” one-sheeter can be found here

  • Sunday, September 14th. That’s reportedly the day Ben and JLo will tie the knot in their Santa Barbara situate wedding.

  • According to The Z Review, Rene Russo and Kier Chaplin are up for the lead in the new “Aimee Semple McPherson” biopic.

  • E Online reports that Janet Jackson is gearing up to play legendary jazz singer Lena Horne in the biopic “Lena”, slated to air in 2004.

  • The Christian Bale/Taye Diggs actioner “Equilibrium” is finally getting an Australian release. Unfortunately, it’ll go straight to DVD/Video in November.

  • ”I am working on a horror picture called "Hex" I’ll be directing from my own script. It’s a thriller about an executed witch resurrected in the 20th century. Very bloody”. That’s what “Hitcher” scribe Eric Red tells he’s doing next.

  • IGN FilmForce talked to Chris Owen [“American Pie”] who revealed his next projects as, “National Lampoon’s Dorm Daze. But I’m in negotiations for a film entitled Dear Wendy.”

  • MonkeyPeaches has debunked a rumour that Jet Li will be replacing Chow Yun Fat in the proposed “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” prequel.

  • Kasey’s Van Damme Page reports that Ringo Lam has left the “After Death” directors chair, but the film is still on track, with shooting tipped to resume October 13th in South Africa.

  • Production Weekly has announced an early-October start date for “Behind the Camera : The Charlie’s Angels Story”, a telefilm based on the hit series.
