According to ‘Bri’, New Zealand Director Geoff Murphy [“Young Guns II”] is heading back to Sheepsville next year to shoot “Spooked”, a film based on a book by Ian Wishart. “Geoff wrote the script based on an event some twelve years ago when an Aucklander named Paul White was killed in a car crash ironically after stumbling upon some banking records on a second or third hand PC he purchased”, he says. Murphy, whose other credits include “Under Siege 2” and “Fortress 2 : Re-Entry”, wants to litter the film with local stars. Cliff Curtis, Chris Hobbs and Kelly Johnson are already on board. “It has the potential to be this huge success but the backers and everyone involved for that matter are shit scared that it’ll fall apart because there’s just no bloody money been put into the thing”. Regardless, the film’s on track to start shooting next week.
