Haven’t heard about this one for a while – so assumed it was off. Talking of course about the Alex Cross character-based films, which began with “Kiss the Girls” and “Along Came a Spider”. The first did OK, the latter barely made a buck. Regardless, a third film – based on the book by author James Patterson – has got the green. According to the author’s official site, “Great news! The script for Roses are Red is almost done and the movie is about to go into production.” In this one, Detective Alex Cross pursues a mysterious criminal known as the Mastermind. And how’s this -In a series of crimes that has stunned Washington, D.C., bank robbers have been killing bank employees and their families if the robbers’ instructions are not followed to the letter. No word yet on whether Morgan Freeman will be back to reprise his role as Cross though it’s most likely he will. HSX says he’s back, whilst also listing ‘produced by David Brown and George Wizan at Revelations Entertainment’. Thanks to Dark Horizons.
