Jessica Simpson seems to be counting her chickens a little too early. A Few weeks back she revealed that she’s set to star in a film version of “I Dream of Jeannie”, but according to TV Guide, she’s merely one of a few actresses that is under consideration. According to the Newlyweds star’s manager-dad, Joe Simpson, Columbia Pictures is moving forward on a film adaptation of Jeannie, but Pop says, "she’d be one of their top contenders." Earlier this month, Simpson took a risk by making a very public plea to Sony on Larry King Live, telling guest host Ryan Seacrest she really wants to be Jeannie. However, a studio exec stresses, "We’re talking with a wide range of actresses and not negotiating with anyone." My vote’s still in for that old favourite, Alicia Silverstone!
