It made next to nothing when released stateside, but Fox’s “League of Extraordinary Gentlemen” has been quite the smash down under. So successful in fact, that Australia is rumoured to be playing host to a soon to be filmed sequel. We’ve had numerous reports this week – from actors and a source at Sydney’s studios – who tipped us off to such a state of affairs. Word is, “LXG 2” will re-cast many of the main parts excluding Australian actress Peta Wilson who reportedly is interested in reprising her role as Mina Harker for the sequel – with auditions occurring shortly. A studio source confirmed such a rumour, but was unable to say whether it would film at Sydney’s Fox or Kurnell studios, or when it would happen.
