More ludicrous rumours from the grand old English tabloids. Channel4.com is reporting that the ever-so-talented Britney Spears is chasing a role in the new “Carry On” movie. The obviously-desperate-for-any-film-role Spears is said to be keen on the role of naughty temptress Rhoda Freely, daughter of lead character I P Freely, who Burt Reynolds has been tipped to play. Producer James Black says, "Paul is very keen and I’ve been told Britney wants to play the part. Her involvement is not based on whether or not Burt accepts." And that’s not all; the site reports that former “Beatle” Paul McCartney has been approached to record the theme song. “Fathers Day” was bad enough Paul, “Carry On”?
