“Titanic” director gets wet again

One of James Cameron’s pet projects is finally coming to fruition.

“The Dive”, about eminent diver Francisco Ferraras and his wife Audrey Mestre, is finally on track, with Cameron eyeing to shoot the film as soon as he’s done with his latest film, rumoured to be the long-planned “Avatar”.

Cameron has rehired Laeta Kalogridis, who wrote the forthcoming “Battle Angel Alita” for the filmmaker, to adapt the story, which will apparently depict Mestre’s fatal attempts to beat her own world record for diving without oxygen tanks.
