“Young & the Restless” star on her new TV thriller

Fans of “Baywatch” and “Silk Stalkings” are probably familiar with our next guest. Since hanging up her cossie on the former, Mitzi Kapture Donahue’s appeared as Anita Hodges on “The Young and the Restless”, which won her quite a few admirers, and more recently, popped up in the action series “She Spies”. Her latest role is in the film thriller “Night of Terror”, the story of a family who have an unfortunate run-in with a sinister rogue on the night of a storm. CLINT MORRIS talks to the actress about playing the tormented Jill Dunne.

How did you get the role in ?
Casting directors contacted my agents pending previous series and offered me the part.

Tell me about your character?
Jill Dunne is depressed, because she is reliving her father’s death and she is subsequently hit with an onslaught of life situations that she is forced to deal with.

How do you psyche yourself up to play a role like this?
I collaborate with the actors and director and see what happens.

Can you tell me about the filming locations?
We were in the most beautiful place I have ever been called Guelph, which is about an hour north of Toronto, Canada. What happens in Guelph, stays in Guelph!

TV seems to be to where all the good stories are these days……don’t you agree?
Absolutely, it’s a great medium for any actor.

Can you tell me about your days on ” Baywatch”. Seems one either looks back on it fondly, or not at all…..how do you remember your time?
Freezing, freezing. The producers were amazing, everyone involved was amazing.

What’s next for you?
I am developing a couple of concepts with different writers, including Kim LeMasters, former prexy of CBS. I will do another possible movie for Lifetime in the spring and I am starting a clothing line! Check out my website for updates!

NIGHT OF TERROR is now screening on Lifetime
