Wan gets Death Sentence

Part of the brains behind the “Saw” series

Australian wonderkid James Wan (“Saw”) has been tapped to direct “Death Sentence”, a new film from “Death Wish” novelist Brian Garfield.

The film, written by Ian Jeffers, centers on a father out for revenge after his family is attacked in a senseless and heinous gang-initiation crime. The father enacts a death sentence on each perpetrator involved with the crime.

Wan, whose newest film is the spookfest “Silence”, will be paid a chubby cheque by Fox and Hyde Park, for his work on the film.
