Broken Lizard say it’s finally happening

It may have taken them years to get it off the ground – in fact, I remember them talking to me about it when I interviewed them, all those years ago, for the first film – but comedy troupe Broken Lizard have finally announced production on the long awaited “Super Troopers 2”.

The troupe, speaking at Comic Con, says that the film will – as they always intended – be a prequel, with them playing the father’s of the characters they played in the original. As it’ll be set in the 70s, there will be plenty of opportunity to take the mickey out of the looks, fashions and trends of the day. From the sounds of it, the flick should be before a camera pretty soon – so an official announcement is likely just around the corner.
