Hex To The Big Screen

Hex To The Big Screen

Jonah that is

Is the western about to make (yet another) resurgence? Warner Bros. / DC are betting that it is – they’ve just handed over the reigns to their “Jonah Hex” character to the team behind “Crank”, Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, according to reports in “The Hollywood Reporter”.

The interesting move here is that DC are betting on a character that has never been terribly successful in the U.S., despite multiple attempts over a variety of titles including “Jonah Hex”, “Hex”, “Weird Western Tales” – and as of late, the Vertigo run set of storylines, which shifted away from the more traditional Western stories into a more supernatural realm.
