Moore and McGowan have TV treats on the way!

New series’ from “Galactica” and “Sin City” helmers on the way

Two cool new TV series was announced today.

One, the latest from “Battlestar Galactica” brainchild, Ronald D. Moore, and the other a prison drama from Robert Rodriguez, to star Rose McGowan!

James D’Arcy (“Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World”) has been tapped to star in Moore’s “Virtuosity”, a two-hour backdoor pilot for the Sci-Fi channel, with Peter Berg helming the pilot.

“Virtuosity” is set aboard the Phaeton, Earth’s first starship, on a 10-year journey to explore a distant solar system. To help the crew endure the long trip, NASA equips the ship with advanced virtual reality modules, allowing them to assume adventurous identities and go anyplace they want.

The prison drama, which Robert Rodriguez (“Sin City”) is developing as a vehicle for his fiancée Rose McGowan, is titled “Women in Chains!”.

Harry at Aint it Cool News says, “This is classic Exploitation material – kicked up several notches and man… It’d be bliss on HBO. At the same time – I’d be amazed to tune in to just see what the show would get away with on the Networks. I just know this show would own BAD GIRLS!”
