They’ve resurrected the Lost Boys.
They’ve had the Dukes Boys do a coupla more Donuts around Uncle Jesse’s Farm.
They’re even about to resurrect Nino Brown and plonk him back in New Jack City (Speaking of, the writer of the original film isn’t very happy about the sequel plans – read this).
Now Warner Premiere is about to let the smart-sharks out of school.
The WB’s direct-to-disc sequel label has woken up the white-pointers. A studio source tells us today that the long-gestating “Deep Blue Sea 2†will be headed to a Blockbuster store near you sometime next year. It’s the next film they hope to do.
yep, those fierce but intelligent sharks that took a big-ass bite out of Samuel L. Jackson in “Deep Blue Sea†are back. And Renny Harlin won’t be going anywhere near ‘em.
Like the other flicks that WP is putting out, “Deep Blue Sea 2†will be made on a pretty most budget, so don’t expect any of the headline stars of the original – Thomas Jane or LL Cool J, for instance – to return. At the moment nobody’s on board – it’s merely got writers – on it probably won’t be cast until after the black cloud hanging over the impending actor’s strike subsides.
More on this as it comes to hand.
