Dolph Lundgren could be segueing from “The Expendables” to “The Throwaways”.
The actor, currently in Brazil filming Sylvester Stallone’s all-star action romp, is circling writer/producer Eric Goren’s upcoming thriller.
The film tells of homeless people who re “disappearing” at an unprecedented rate from the streets of New York City. A determined reporter and a renegade cop uncover the mysterious and baffling situation whilst trying to maintain a pulse of their own.
“There is a good possibility the Dolph will direct and act in this project”, Goren tells Moviehole. ”I decided that Dolph would be a great fit because The Throwaways involves quite a lot of action and Dolph has directed a number of action adventure movies before. I also feel that Dolph has a huge fan base in European and Asian markets which would be key demographics for The Throwaways.”
Goren says Luke Goss (“Hellboy II : The Golden Army”) is also onboard the project.
