Galactica’s Cally in Comic-Book movie

Seems being thrown out of an airlock didn’t hurt “Battlestar Galactica” star Nicki Clyne’s career one bit (though I’m guessing those meteor rocks Cally bumped into out in space might’ve left her floating frame a little bruised and battered; poor thing!).

Clyne, better known as Cally Henderson Tyrol on Ronald D.Moore’s frakkin-fantastic series, has snagged a role in “Godkiller”, based on the comic of the same name, according to Shock Til You Drop.

The film, which also features Lance Henriksen (“Aliens”), Danielle Harris (“Halloween”) and Bill Moseley (“The Devils Rejects”), takes place in a dark future after economic collapse, after nuclear holy war and after Earth is colonized by alien races. Tommy and his kid sister Lucy live in an orphanage in one of the few remaining city-states, but Lucy is critically ill and desperately in need of a new heart. Tommy’s odyssey to find a new heart for his sister begins when he follows an organ-stealing prostitute named Halfpipe out of the city-state and into the savage borderland known as Outer City.

The picture will be written and directed by award-winning filmmaker Matt Pizzolo, who created the comic with illustrator Anna Muckcracker.

Producer Halo-8 Entertainment is planning to unveil a new and exclusive preview clip at Fangoria’s Weekend of Horrors in Los Angeles April 17-19th.
