My mate Dean Murphy (we both hail from the same one-horse country town – exaggeration, but anything that makes a movie webmaster sound more like Wyatt Earp and less like Perez Hilton is a good thing, right?) follows up his terrific Paul Hogan-starring comedy “Strange Bedfellows” (2004) with another laffer featuring the big knifed superstar.
Titled “Charlie & Boots”, and co-starring “Kenny” fave Shane Jacobson, the comedy tells of an estranged father-and-son who reunite for a road trip.
The flick, penned by Murphy and Stewart Faichney, looks silly, sweet and perfectly-packaged for families. You can check out the first trailer here (As soon as we can get an embed we’ll whack it in the trailers section).
“Charlie & Boots” opens in September.
