Banks open for Three Days

Caffeinated Clint August 25, 2009 Movie News

Foxy Elizabeth Banks (“Zack and Miri Make a Porno”, “The Uninvited”) is in final negotiations to star opposite Australia’s Russell Crowe in “The Next Three Days,” a Paul Haggis-directed flick that takes it cue from the French thriller “Pour elle.”

Haggis is directing, writing and producing “Next Three Days,” which centers on an ordinary couple who find themselves in an unthinkable situation and have to make desperate choices that will test the limits of love.

Though Banks is starting to take on more dramatic parts (like the one she played in “The Uninvited”, but also Oliver Stone’s “W”), she won’t be turning her back on the laffers. The actress is attached with Leslie Mann to New Line’s comedy “What Was I Thinking?” and to DreamWorks’ workplace comedy “Forever 21,” which she’s also producing through her shingle, Brownstone Prods.
