And I thought the hot soup that scolded my daughter’s wee hand was hot! (for the record : It was! real hot… poor thing! but she’s A-OK now!) – these two will give you first-degree burns just by being in the presence of their pixels!
Amanda Crew (She’d be the hottie who wrapped her ‘shoes’ around the tree trunk in “Sex Drive”) and Adrianne Palicki (She’d be where the ‘real action’ is on TVs “Friday Night Lights”) will team for the Canadian thriller “Breaking the Girl” (erm, hello!? Is there where I insert an untasty Caffeinated Clint style joke?), says Variety.
And yes, that was me changing my jeans between sentences.
The Jamie Babbit-directed pic tells the story of a naive college student who loses a scholarship at the hands of a classmate and makes a pact with a mysterious friend to kill off each other’s enemies.
Mark Distefano and Guinevere Turner wrote the script.
If I recall correctly, Brittany Snow (“Hairspray”) was originally in talks to star in the pic. Either because the ‘price wasn’t right’ or Snow got caught up with something else, they’ve opted for Crew (or Palicki – not sure which Snow she was up for). Personally, I like this pickin’ better – good coupling.
Director Babbit is better known as the helmer of such TV shows as “Swingtown” (God I miss that show!), “90210” and “Gilmore Girls”, but he did direct the 1999 comedy “But I’m a Cheerleader – which was quite tolerable.
