The Jamie Babbit-directed pic tells the story of a naive college student who loses a scholarship at the hands of a classmate and makes a pact with a mysterious friend to kill off each other’s enemies.

If I recall correctly, Brittany Snow (“Hairspray”) was originally in talks to star in the pic. Either because the ‘price wasn’t right’ or Snow got caught up with something else, they’ve opted for Crew (or Palicki – not sure which Snow she was up for). Personally, I like this pickin’ better – good coupling.
Director Babbit is better known as the helmer of such TV shows as “Swingtown” (God I miss that show!), “90210” and “Gilmore Girls”, but he did direct the 1999 comedy “But I’m a Cheerleader – which was quite tolerable.
