Couple of weeks ago (I know, I know – - Iâ€™ve been working on a new film Iâ€™ve been producing, so excuse the tardiness) I attended a rather spiffy Hasbro event at the Viceroy in Santa Monica.
What was it to celebrate? Well, the toy magnate has teamed up with Paramount and Dreamworks to create the new line of toys for â€˜â€™G.I. Joeâ€™â€™ and â€˜â€™Transformersâ€™â€™. They’re not your older brother’s toys, with sleeker designs and fun, interactive features. (I prefer the diecast versions, they feel heavier and sturdier, but the lightweight plastic versions are probably safer for kids â€“ right?).
Executives from Hasbro shared there personal history with the classic children’s toys and collectibles. The process of creating and naming toys is extensive and very detailed oriented. There is a wide array of new vehicles, good guys and bad guys for children to recreate battle scenes with.
