Seasoned rom-com’mers Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston look set to team for the smooch n’ silliness effort, “Pretend Wife”.

The script, written by Allan Loeb (of “Wall Street 2 : Money Never Sleeps” fame) and Tim Dowling (who penned “Role Models”) and once known as “Holiday in Hawaii,” is being kept under wraps, according to THR, but I think it’s safe to say, if only going by the title, that it’s about a woman who, for some reason or another, must pretend to be Sandler’s wife. No?

Sandler mainstay (and former actor – you’ll remember he played Patrick Dempsey’s papa in “Can’t Buy Me Love”) Dennis Dugan (“Happy Gilmore”, “Grown Ups”) will direct the pic; Columbia will send the film out in cans.
