Spy Hunter to Roll, without Rock

Umpteen years after Universal and director John Woo announced they’d be turning the classic (it’s been around since 1983!) video game “Spy Hunter” into a feature film starring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, the project inches forward… only without Woo, Johnson and, surprisingly enough, Uni.

Warner Bros have picked up the cinematic rights to the MidWay Game (just as they did all the MidWay games – including “Mortal Kombat” – last year) and have consequently commissioned up-and-comer Chad St. John (the upcoming “Sgt. Rock”) to pen the flick.

High-Profile Producers Dan Lin (“Sherlock Holmes”) and Roy Lee (“The Departed”) will shepherd the production.
