Variety reports that “Gulliver’s Travels” duo Nick Stoller and Rob Letterman will reteam on “Stretch Armstrong”, the feature film take on the Hasbro toy. Taylor Lautner stars in the lead role.

Stoller will rewrite Steve Oedekerk’s script; Letterman will direct.

The Universal project, produced by Brian Grazer’s Imagine Entertainment, is based on the 13 inch-tall toy that was able to stretch nearly four feet. Plot details for the feature are being kept under wraps.

It’s going to be a busy couple of years for star Lautner – in addition to the final “Twilight” film, “Breaking Dawn”, the 18-year-old actor is also onboard the thriller “Abduction” and the actioner “Cancun”. Due to his choca-bloc schedule he recently parted ways with Paramount’s feature film version of – another toy – “Max Steel”.
