It’s been on the cards for years, but finally it looks like the film adaptation of Max Brooks’ zombie apocalypse-epic “World War Z” is gearing up for production.
Not only is Paramount behind the large scale reanimated-runts flick, but Brad Pitt has signed to star and produce (Pitt was originally rumoured to be the frontrunner for the starring role back when Leonard Di Caprio’s Applan Way had the rights to the book, but this time it’s official). Marc Forster (“Quantum of Solace”) is still onboard to direct.
MTV spoke to Brooks at the “Avatar” comic-con booth who confirmed Plan B’s involvement in the horror blockbuster. The author also revealed that Paramount has optioned two more of his projects, ”The Zombie Survival Guide” and ”The Zombie Survival Guide: Recorded Attacks” graphic novel.
