Sam Neill and Willem Dafoe, co-stars in the Spierig Bros’ recent “Daybreakers”, will return to Australia to shoot another flick together, “The Hunter”.

According to What’s Playing, the period thriller will see Dafoe play “Martin, a mercenary sent into the Tasmanian wilderness by an anonymous biotech company in search of the last Tasmanian Tiger. At base camp, Martin meets the wife and children of a man who has disappeared into the wilderness. The man finds himself drawn to the woman, ultimately imagining himself a future with her.”

No word on who Neill is playing, but if I had to take a guess I’d say it’s the wayward hubby.

Alice Addison and Wain Fimeri wrote the script for the film, which director Daniel Nettheim will shoot in and around Hobart later this year.
