”The Hills”, for those that have never caught it, is a reality series (a spin-off of ”The Real Orange County”), fixing on Lauren Conrad, a young woman who relocates from Orange County to Los Angeles, to be a student at the prestigious Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising.

In between studying, Lauren is trying to juggle a tumultuous love life, and keep up with her high-maintenance friends.

Last season on “The Hills”, tension was at an all-time high – Roomies Audrina and Lo were at each others throats, Lauren began seeing an old friend named Doug, and Heidi was forced to deal with the repercussions of fleeing her bosses in Vegas. As for Spencer, he was sooking over his sister’s continuing friendship with Lauren. Oh, and he also threatened to leave Heidi when her sister, Holly, came to visit!

This season, Kristin’s back in town; Audrina gets her poor little heart broken by Justin; Spencer goes to drastic measures to try and stop Heidi’s obsession with babies (Easier said than done); and Justin moves on with – yep, you guessed it – Kristin.

Though a reality series, “The Hills” is clearly scripted – I say that because so much of the show plays like a soap opera, with many of the actors offering up very autocue-ish performances. Still, doesn’t seem to matter to fans – they’re still eating this one up.

Extras : Deleted Scenes, Interviews
