I think, based on current trends and a looming start date, it’s safe to say that we can expect a new “X-Men : First Class” casting announcement every day of this week.
January Jones, of “Mad Men” fame, is the latest to enroll in Xavier’s school of the gifted and weird-ass, says Variety. Jones will play telepathic beauty Emma Frost aka The White Queen, in director Matthew Vaughn’s “X-Men” prequel. Jones bet “She’s Out of My League” hottie Alice Eve and former Bond Girl Rosamund Pike to the role.
The trade also says that Zoe Kravitz has also been cast as Angel while Bill Bilner will play Magneto as a young boy. In addition, XMF is reporting that Morgan Lily (“2012″) has been cast as young Mystique in the movie.
James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne, Kevin Bacon, Nicholas Hoult, Caleb Landry Jones, Lucas Till, Edi Gathegi, Jason Flemyng and Oliver Platt also feature in the June 3, 2011 release.
