Australia’s Chris Egan up for M:I 4

In addition to Aussie Jacinda Barrett (“Middle Men”), who is reportedly in the running to play an undisclosed female role in the film, another downunder dazzler is said to be vying for a role in Tom Cruise’s (and David *Cough* Ellison’s) “Mission : Impossible 4″.

Chris Egan, formerly of “Home & Away” and more recently of “Kings” and “Letters to Juliet”, is said to be up for some-sort-of-role in the Brad Bird directed sequel.

Kevin Zegers (“Transamerica”) and Anthony Mackie (“Notorious”) are also said to be in contention. No word on whether Egan, Zegers and Mackie are competing for the same role or whether they’re each being considered for separate roles – possibly as IMF team members, or something?

The Wrap says the aforementioned actors have tested, or will test in the coming days.
