Rami Malek, seen recently as PFC Merriell ‘Snafu’ Shelton in the in the Emmy-Award winning mini-series “The Pacific”, has joined the cast of the highly-anticipated (at least on the left side of the bed at home) “The Twilight Saga : Breaking Dawn”.

Malek, says ET, is playing ”Benjamin, an Egyptian vampire with the power to control the four elements (earth, fire, air and water). A member of the Egyptian Coven (which also includes the yet-to-be-cast Amun, Kebi, and Tia) Benjamin and his brethren travel to Forks in the fourth book to serve as witnesses on behalf of the Cullens.”

In addition to “Breaking Dawn”, Malek has a role in Tom Hanks (an EP on “The Pacific”) next flick, “Larry Crowne”.
