The Rock and Madea do Wife

The Rock and Madea do Wife

Lionsgate are trying to snag a new Dwayne Johnson/Tyler Perry two-hander titled “Take My Wife”, according to Deadline.

The film would see “Madea” fave Perry play ”a recently divorced man who realizes the only way to get out of paying alimony to his ex is to find her a new husband. He sets about transforming a rough-around-the-edges guy (Johnson) into a paramour who can be her ideal mate. After his Cyrano act creates the new love match, the divorced guy falls back in love with his wife and has to compete for her affections.”

Perry, who usually helms all the movies he appears in (bar “Star Trek”), will produce but not direct.

Speaking of Dwayne Johnson, a ‘Red Band’ (that’s the classy description for an ‘offensive’ trailer – hee hee!) trailer for the former Wrestler’s next film “Faster” has come online. This looks like it will please the fans of Johnson’s that have been snubbing the man ever since he became Disney’s go-to guy for fluffy family movies.
