Bruce Willis doesn’t plan on walking away from the “Die Hard” series just yet. The star of one of the ’80s best action thrillers believes, should he walk from the franchise that gave him a career post-“Moonlighting”, he’d be replaced. The brand, as Bruno sees it, is far more popular than the Schiller.
Willis has said in recent weeks that “Die Hard 5” will likely start filming next year (Skip Woods is currently writing the pic) – but it won’t be no John McClane swansong.
“In the next few years they could easily find a replacement for me or call the character someone else,” Willis tells Showbiz Spy.
“But for me, I want to do Die Hard 5, then one final Die Hard movie — Die Hard 6 — before finally hanging that white vest up for good.
“At the moment, I can run and I can fight on screen. But there will come a time when I no longer want to do that. That’s when I’ll step away from the Die Hard films.”
