C.Thomas Howell has joined the cast of Marc Webb’s “Spider-Man” reboot.

‘Tommy’ – as he prefers to be called – made the announcement on his Facebook page. His role is being kept under wraps for now.

A huge star in the ’80s, Tommy starred in the likes of “The Outsiders”, “Red Dawn”, “Soul Man”, “Secret Admirer” and the thriller classic “The Hitcher”. In more recent times, the actor has kept himself busy doing telemovies and independent features. He recently had a recurring role on TNT’s “Southland”.

“Spider-Man”, currently filming in L.A, stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen and Sally Field, among others.
