Oliver Stone’s Half Baked Casting Idea

Oliver Stone’s Half Baked Casting Idea

Taylor Kitsch (“John Carter of Mars”), Aaron Johnson (“Kick-Ass”) and Salma Hayek (you all know who she is right!?) are said to be circling Oliver Stone’s “Savages”, a drama about the Californian dope trade.

Based on the Don Winslow novel, the film would feature Kitsch and Johnson as ctwo marijuana growers in California’s boho Laguna Beach who find themselves targeted by ruthless members of a Mexican drug cartel. Hayek would play the leader of the drug cartel (!); a woman hellbent on knocking off the competition.

Olivia Wilde may also end up with a role in the film, which Deadline says will likely be with studio Universal by the end of this week.

Sounds like a good book, might have to Amazon it.
